Learning in a Choir

Our community choir has performed in a series of concerts and events including most recently the Old Mint, Calvary Presbyterian Chapel, Herbst Theater and SF JAZZ. We sing in a variety of musical styles, both a cappella and accompanied. We rehearse weekly on Monday evenings from 6:00-8:00 pm, and offer a social opportunity directly after most rehearsals. Our choir performs three concerts a year.

Music is sung in four or eight parts (soprano, alto, tenor, bass). No prior experience of singing is needed - just a desire to be part of a friendly community of singers. This adult choir is always welcoming to new members.

Join our Class

Our introductory class has the goal to deepen everyone's understanding of music. The class introduces you to music notation, sight reading, some music theory and vocal technique. This class is only currently open to choir members and is a good way to sharpen your music skills and gain confidence. It is offered on Mondays from 5:00-6:00, directly before choir rehearsal.
